Strutt & Parker

When you are looking to buy that perfect house, it can be a very stressful time. We are not looking for a new house at the moment, but I really do love looking through the papers or on the internet to see what is on offer.

I genuinely have noticed that Strutt & Parker have some of the nicest houses to offer. I always stop on their pages in the news paper see something I love and then I find myself searching their web site to see more.

My dream home would be a nice new build which we have planned our selves out in the country, nice flat walls to decorate, having as many rooms as you want/require and generally having everything set out the way you want it.

Strutt & Parker was founded in 1885 by two friends, Edward Stutt and Charles Parker. Since then the company has grown massively and they are experts in property sales.

They offer many specialist property services throughout the UK. These range from property valuations and advice on compulsory purchase orders and renewable energy schemes, through to client support on planning processes and expert testimony before courts and tribunals.

Clinique CC Cream

I love testing beauty products and especially if it is a skin care cream. When Mumsnet offered me the chance to test out some new Clinique moisture surge CC Cream I could  not refuse. You see my skin is actually not too bad, I have dry skin around  my nose which drives me mad! I have never found a cream that helps me get rid of it for good...yet.

This is the cream that was sent to me...

My first impressions of the CC cream were good, I liked the packaging I liked how when I took the bottle out it was small enough to fit in bag if needs be and it is not breakable.

I was eager to try this cream out and see what it was like, with it being tinted this was a whole new cream for me. The cream comes out just like liquid foundation, it is very light and not oily at all which for me is always a good thing. It literary takes minutes to apply, a quick rub all over the face making sure you have all areas covered and away you go.

At the weekends (usually a Sunday) I tend to get lots of housework done while staying in my jammies most of the day. There is usually something that I have run out of or desperately need for making the tea and I have to nip out to the shops and I am the type of person that does not like going out without make-up on (not that I wear lots), however there is never time to muck about and so I go out feeling like everyone is looking at this pale faced lady thinking 'oh my goodness did she really go out looking like that?!' even though I know no-one is  looking at me.

With the Clinique CC cream I can put a little on and feel a lot better. I also put this on under my usual make-up and it really does look great. Now you are about to see something very rare, I am about to add two pictures of myself before and after the application of the cream. This is rare because I am really not a fan of having my picture taken (which you will see from the pictures!).

Here goes...Before:                                                   And After:

As you can see from these pictures the cream really does give a lovely colour, it makes you're skin look fresh and radiant again. I love how the Clinique CC Cream gives my skin a hydration boost and also protects from the sun with its SPF30 rating. Overall I would recommend this cream, it retails at £28 which may be a little pricey but I would say it will last a long time and it is definitely worth it.

Walkers Hoops and Crosses Review

I am pretty certain that we all know Walkers, they first started making crisps way back in 1948 and since then they have created some weird and wonderful flavours (though I would say more wonderful than weird!) and lots of different kinds of crisps too.

Most recently Walkers have created these Hoops and Crosses baked crisps, we have been lucky enough to try some. We received this lovely gift from Walkers...

Please excuse the empty bag! These Hoops and Crosses come in 3 different flavours which are all suitable for vegetarians  Prawn Cocktail, Salt and Vinegar and Roast Beef. We received the Roast Beef flavour and it is safe to say that everyone loved it. This is the kind of crisps that I prefer, they are puffy and crunchy. J is not a huge crisp fan but even he was impressed. I found these in my local Tesco in a 6 pack costing £1.79 which I find very reasonable.

Hoops and Crosses are made from wholegrains they contain no artificial colours or preservatives and each bag contains only 85 calories. My boys have requested that these are in their packed lunch boxes all week, that is how good they are. We would definitely recommend these and I can't wait to try out the other flavours!

SIGG Cuipo - Saving the Rainforest one meter at a time

I have always admired SIGG bottles, I think they look funky and also very useful. We have been very lucky in that we got to review some.

The SIGG bottles that we got to review are as beautifully designed as all their other ones, but these are a little more special in my opinion. When you purchase the SIGG Cuipo bottles you are helping to save a tropical rainforest one meter at a time. These bottles come in 4 different designs, we were sent Steve the Sloth and the BYOB Monkey (bring you're own banana!). The boys thought this was great! Customers purchasing a SIGG Cuipo receive a unique activation code and by entering the code on the Cuipo website www.cuipo.org, the customers can view their square meter of rainforest via Google Maps.

CUIPO PRESERVE IN PANAMA

The Cuipo Rainforest Preserve is located near the Darien National Preserve in Chepo, Panama. Historically, dense forests and rocky terrain shielded the Chepo Rainforest from the outside world. Improved transportation made this land accessible and development has threatened this ecosystem. As agriculture, logging, development, mining, and tourism expand into these pristine areas, rainforest is gradually disappearing. Cuipo has acquired 13,354,600 square meters (3,300 acres) of rainforest to set aside for preservation.

The boys really enjoyed learning about saving the rainforest, they loved the fact that they could type in their codes to the computer and know that they were making a difference. If I am honest the rainforest is something that I never really thought about at all, and this has made me look into it more and I now realise how important the rainforests are to us. We really need to be doing more to help save them, and these bottles are a very simple way for us to give a little.

These bottle have gone pretty much everywhere with the boys, the lid makes it very easy for the boys to carry them around. They also make great bottles for them to take to school.

I received this product for the purpose of the review. All wording and opinions are my own.
